I was driving on the freeway to work and it was dark with record-setting cold weather so perhaps this made it more vivid, but I've witnessed other shooting stars or fireballs and this would be the 2nd most vivid as well as the 2nd longest duration. Really cool!

The entire event was startlingly bright and had a large ball that flashed at the end.
