| Remarks | On the morning of March 8, 2026, at 07:14 AM, I captured a high-intensity bolide event on a fixed security camera. The object ignited at a mid-sky point (estimated 40° elevation) and traveled in a downward arch toward the horizon. The event culminated in a brilliant terminal flash that was powerful enough to physically illuminate the terrestrial environment, casting moving shadows and lighting up the tree canopy and morning ground mist. Significant Detail: The bolide left a massive persistent train (ionized gas) that remained visible for several minutes. Initially, this appeared as a solid, dense column or "beam" of light before being distorted into a wavy ribbon by high-altitude winds. The train was exceptionally bright due to backlighting from the pre-dawn sun. Witness Context: I was sleeping in a tent approximately 10 feet away from the camera. Despite the visual intensity of the flash and its proximity to the ground environment, there were no audible sounds—neither electrophonic hissing nor a delayed sonic boom. I have the full, high-definition raw MP4 files (approx. 4 minutes in length) available for trajectory and magnitude analysis |

| Remarks | I was sleeping in a tent approximately 10 feet away from the camera when this event occurred. The light ignited at a midpoint in the sky and traveled in a distinct, slightly downward arch. The intensity of the light was enough to physically illuminate the tree canopy and the morning mist in my backyard, creating a 'beaming' effect. After the main fireball passed, a bright, glowing persistent train remained visible in the sky for several minutes. No sonic boom or sound was heard. I have high-definition Wyze camera footage of the entire event from start to finish. |
| Terminal flash | |
|---|---|
| Observation | Yes |
| Remarks | The flash began at a mid-sky ignition point and traveled in a downward arch. It culminated in a brilliant terminal burst that fully saturated the camera sensor and physically illuminated the backyard environment and tree canopy. Despite the visual intensity, the flash was completely silent with no audible percussion or boom. |
