| Remarks | Admittedly, the precise time might be +/- a couple of minutes of what I reported as it took a few minutes before I saw the time. When I first spotted it, It first shot for a second or less straight southward in the Western sky starting somewhere approximately in Taurus, a few degrees to the left of Aldebaran, then roughly at the top star in Orion's bow it shot up almost straight vertical for roughly 1-2 seconds before a rapidly color-changing bulbous plume as it realigned southwest-ish, then arced like the old NBC public service announcements, The More You Know, it was a very cliched-looking arcing, burned brighter and then began quickly fading, appearing to disappear from sight basically right on top of the rightmost star in Orion's Belt, Mintaka. It basically went from top of Orion's Bow to the nearest edge of his Belt. Bow to Belt So many colors. It was the most wildly variable thing I've ever seen in the sky. |
