Remarks I realise this sounds as if I'm inventing it, but I'm not. I watched the object travel overhead, and as it travelled behind me it suddenly vanished - no explosion, it just sort of burned out. So I was standing looking up at the area of sky from which it had arrived, in the hope of seeing another one, and as I watched a couple of what appeared to be stars began diverging from each other. When I first looked at the sky they were completely stationary, as one would expect a star to be, but although I wasn't looking at them specifically I noticed the divergence from the corner of my eye. I then focused on the star that was moving, and noted that there were actually two that were moving relative to the other stars. The movement was initially very slow, but they gradually accelerated and moved in an easterly direction - away from me - before fading out of sight. I know the obvious explanation is that they were aircraft of some sort, but they seemed very high up - they looked just like the other stars - and aircraft move at a uniform speed and direction. They were about the same brightness and size as a satellite - like Starlink - but it was the fact that they were moving in such a strange way that really struck me.
