Remarks I was laying on my couch with all the lights off. I have a large window in my living room when I saw this bright ball with a tail shooting across the sky from the southern hemisphere to the northern hemisphere. I live among trees (at the end of a cul de sac at the top of a tall ravine tucked next to a regional park) so could only see it for a short bit before the trees blocked my view, about 3 seconds. It appeared so close! I've never seen anything like it before. I wasn't sure if it was some missile traveling sideways across the sky or a meteor. It was HUGE and felt very close because if its size. The "ball" at the front end, was at least 100 to 1000 times bigger than shooting stars or satellite in the sky that I've seen. Hard to determine size for me, but it if you held up a blueberry at arm's length in front of you, that's how big it was. Not as big as a full moon, but very large. Perhaps half or 1/3 size of full moon's visual. The tail of was about an inch to an inch of a half in length if you held a ruler out in front of you at arm's length. Very bright, white blue and red.
