Reports Report 3326h (Event 3326-2026)

Observer
Name Jeff S
Experience Level 4/5
Remarks I'm probably between 3 and 4 on the above question. However, meteors have always drawn my interest and I try to catch meteor showers when I can. The best observed meteors that I have witnessed have generally been when I am not out to view one of the regular meteor showers and I'm simply looking up in the night sky. This one was during twilight and absolutely beautiful.

Remarks After viewing for several seconds, It broke apart in a myriad of pieces (kind of similar to a firework explosion. All of the fragments were travelling the same direction as the fireball. We were stopped at a traffic signal and I happened to be observing Venus in the sky and the fireball appeared. I had enough time to bring it to the attention of my wife (thinking that she would miss it). However, she saw the trailing end of it and when it broke apart.
