Reports Report 3326ac (Event 3326-2026)

Observer
Name Aaron C
Experience Level 2/5
Remarks I noticed a friend of mine also experienced the same meteor as well, which I think will help if she posts too. I realized that the fact that I heard a sonic boom 10 seconds after the meteor disappeared could mean it was either very close to the surface, creating terminal sounds, creating electrophonic sounds, or my ears were playing tricks on me. What's interesting is that my friend did not recall hearing any sounds after. Thank you for taking the time to look into this. I know you do a lot of things, so I have been as precise as I can. I'd love to hear back about anything you would like to send me!

Remarks -
Delayed Sound
Observation Yes
Remarks I am not sure if I heard a city machine or the meteor, but I think I might have heard a hushing sound like a distant airplane about 10 seconds after the event, which lasted a few seconds, then faded out. I hope this helps! :p
Persistent train
Observation Yes
Duration 0.5s
Length 15°
Remarks It seemed like the trail was the same color as the meteor; it was about half as bright, much thinner than the meteor, and only glowed for about half a second after left from the meteor. It thinned out more as the distance increased between a trail point and the meteor, which looked almost like a comet trail, but one that glows.
Terminal flash
Observation Yes
Remarks I do not recall any fragmentation because I did not have the best view once the meteor disappeared from my view behind local trees. I think it was the brightest at about 20 degrees from the horizon.
Fragmentation
Observation Unknown
