Reports Report 3644g (Event 3644-2026)

Observer
Name Paul P
Experience Level 2/5
Remarks The sun had recently set, but high-altitude air traffic might still have caught some reflection. This light flash, while appearing to be high altitude was moving across the sky much faster, covering more distance, than an aircraft possibly could. Probably around 55-60 degrees up from the horizon? Likewise the color and brightness seemed greater than a reflection from set sun. I wondered if I might be seeing glare from headlights on the window, but moved my head to confirm it was not reflection on the glass. The direction was southward and lasted maybe 2 seconds. I said "Wow, look at that!" to the others sitting at our booth in the diner, but it was gone before they saw Sky conditions were very clear save a dispersing contrail slightly north and higher. in the sky. An unusual enough experience that I googled who I might reprt it to and found your website later.
