| Remarks | I was driving east on FM 197 in Willis, TX on June 6, 2026 (D-Day). I know I was on the bridge that crosses the northern tip of Lake Conroe. My wife was with me, but by the time I excitedly blurted out "there's a shooting star!" and she looked up, it was gone (hence the 2-5 seconds report). Being in the car limited my overhead view, but I'm really guessing at the angle to the horizon. I would say that the meteor was traveling east/northeast because I could see a bit of its path. Since I was traveling east, it did not change much in altitude over the 2-5 seconds of my observation. |
