Remarks I didn't know what it was. For a split second I wondered if it was something man-made. I calmly watched it - because I knew I wasn't going to miss anything since it was moving so slowly. I even slowed my car down to not get too far ahead of it, then when it passed 'my center' I sped to catch up to it to watch it longer. That didn't help, of course, and by that time I was nearing the town of Playa del Rey and had to slow down, plus it had seemed to speed up after it passed "my center." It was so low and horizontal that I saw it outside my passenger window almost the entire time, as I drove alongside the Ballona Wetlands, looking north to Marina del Rey and Santa Monica, before it got too far ahead of me and dissipated into white glows, my thought that it was headed over the Pacific Ocean by that time.

Remarks I remember thinking, Oh, it's splitting (because I saw a smaller ball a little behind the big main fireball. Then when it dissipated ahead over the Pacific it faded out in about 4-6 white 'sparkling' spots.
