It had quite a thick trail of light behind it and went on for long enough that I left the doorway so I could keep it in my line of vision as it went alongside the corner of the house. It came low enough that I wondered if it would hit something.

It became bright white and then faded into black and burnt orange. It looked like a piece of wood where the embers of fire are dying out, with molten orange looking sections all over it before it finally disappeared from sight (the orange parts died out)
