I am quite unsure as to its direction — whether east or southeast or northeast. We were on route 80 driving east but of course the road bends left and right and I did not think to look at a compass at the time. I am much more confident about its height relative to the horizon and how big a path it swept out than I am about the compass direction I was facing when I saw it

The trail got wider as it moved from right to left and I think it ended with a pop (visual not the sound of a pop. I was in a car and would not have heard anything but a very loud sound)
Terminal flash

Remarks
No details. It was not a big flash at all but I distinctly had the sense of a pop at the end
