Reports Report 5097a (Event 5097-2026)

Observer
Name Jessica H
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks Main white body with orange fragmented trail. Main even lasted probably 4-5 seconds with the separate trails bits hanging on for maybe 2-3 seconds. I actually missed the entrance and only looked when my guests started yelling "Oh, my God, oh, my God, oh, my God!" in excitement over what they were witnessing. Video was taken with gopro nightlapse mode (happy to send settings upon request), which I had set up due to aurora activity the previous night. My gopro typically faces north and was on wide angle view. I pulled the still shot from that video. I often observe the aurora and have caught many fireballs in the past, but usually my Aurora groups, Michigan Storm Chasers or even the local Charlevoix FB group will post about it. I am not seeing anyone else talking about this one. It felt super low/slow and considering it was the 4th of July, many people were out post firework shows. We had just returned home after watching the fireworks from our boat
