I'm a flight attendant and I know the difference between landing lights and a fireball. It seemed to enter the outer layers of our atmosphere and skimmed along the outside before exiting naturally. It displayed a very shallow blueish green halo for 1-2 seconds. The whole event lasted maybe 3- 3.5 seconds.
