Remarks | This was an exceptionally clear, cold night with no moon, so I was looking at the beauty of the stars as I often do as I was walking back to the house. I have never witnessed anything of this magnitude or color before. It was shaped like a teardrop and visible for about 3 seconds, glowing bright at the front and sparkiling a bright greenish blue behind. After it disappeared behind the hills to the west-south-west I listened and watched for several minutes expecting to hear a boom or see a flash, but none came. Pretty cool! |
