I wasn't out looking at the sky, I just happened to be leaving somewhere and noticed the stars in the sky and saw this meteor fall. Random timing. I made sure to check the time right away and I also checked my compass and it was almost due west from where I was standing when I saw it.

glowing, as it fell it got brighter for a moment and that is when it left the glowing trail then it faded quickly

it was just a typical "shooting star" for the first couple seconds and then it flashed quite a bit brighter for a few more seconds before it faded.
