Remarks This was the brightest, longest sighting of a single meteor. Very unusual for Northern Virginia, we usually have too much light to see many here, especially how bright this was.

Color It was very bright white, may have gotten lighter as it fell. May have changed hues as it fell. Almost went straight down when I saw it.

Remarks It glowed all the way to the ground, lessened a bit as it came closed to the ground. It seemed to end just before it hit the earth . The whole trail was quite bright, and to me, lasted a long time. It all took place very close to the earth and came almost straight down. Usually they are up in the sky and streak across.
