I first noticed a bright white flash and looked. It was then a glowing streak from top to bottom (going away and down). It then grew 3 times a wide in what would be the middle of the "train" and then went back to a streak before disappearing in a "poof" and then there was a trail of smoke approximately 6 plane windows long. So most likely 15-18 fists.

After the length of bright white/yellow streak with pretty significant increase of size in the middle it just exploded and the entire streak disappeared. The terminal flash may have had orange in it. I am not certain as it was such a unique sight.
