Observer
Name Bethany M
Experience Level 1/5
Remarks I am not sure about the "mapping view of the Horizon"..my viewing of the fireball was directly above me and only 20 feet up from my line of sight....it trailed for almost the whole length of the street from the beginning of 3rd Ave N. traveling up Maple to the Dead End heading south...the Trail was about 1 foot wide and the "Fireball" was about the size of a deflated Volleyball....It was flaming and on fire...it sizzled out after 10 seconds or a little more...was NOT a Firework...no sound but, I thought a minute later I smelled smoke for a moment. It was definitely a Meteroite, no witnesses unfortunately. I was completely sober...I have seen shooting stars throughout my life...but only in the midheavens....Nothing EVER like this and so close.....
