| Remarks | I've never experienced anything like this. I've seen distant meters or showers but never this big or close. I was driving alone home on Rt. 2/4 towards my home in Calvert County, md. The sky was dark but clear and this meteor was so bright and visible. It scared me at first as I have never seen something like this. It seemed to be close where it landed? I almost pulled off the side of the road because it seemed a little strange...like there would be more coming out of the sky. At first, I thought it was a fireworks but it made no sound and had a different streak. There were also a few cars driving right in front of me so I know others saw it too. I noticed earlier that evening that when the sun when down it was a very bright orange/red which was also very eery. |
