Reports Report 1511hm (Event 1511-2014)

Observer
Name Ricardo J
Experience Level 2/5
Remarks I was doubtful I had seen a falling meteor while crossing the street at a busy intersection (14th St. and U St.) of Washington, DC on a busy night, so I likened what I saw more to a single bright firework fizzling out. It seemed to appear into my frame of vision from behind the building at 1904 14th St. NW as I was looking down (south) 14th Street. It entered my frame of vision from the right (west) at what I remember to be about a 30-45 degree angle, though part of me wants to remember seeing a bit of an arc (very minimal) in it's descent rather than a straight line. That is one of the reasons I thought it may have been a firework ember fizzling out and not a meteor. Well that and as I looked around to confirm the siting with people around me, no one else seemed to have seen it. It wasn't until I started reading the reports online that I realized I may have witnessed the same as others.
