| Remarks | If more information is needed feel free to call if I don't respond to email. Also, I was unsure what to put for trajectory. I'd like to clarify that it appeared to be a nearly vertical drop, only veering slightly to the left of my viewing angle. I could attempt to use the compass on my phone to get a better idea of exact location as it was framed perfectly under a power line and between some tree branches. Lastly, the fireball had a very bright center yellowish area followed by a very long flame "tail." There is a lot of light pollution here so I was uncertain of how to gauge stellar brightness knowing my observation of such would be tainted by all the street lights. That being said, it was shockingly bright. |

| Remarks | I heard one boom that sounded like it was in the distance behind me, relative to where I saw the fireball, maybe a minute or two after the fireball, though it may have been longer or shorter. I'm unsure of the duration of time it was visible and exact time before the boom as I was shocked at what I'd just seen. I also didn't immediately correlate the two, mainly because of the gap between sighting and the sound. It appeared it was only a few blocks away and I was tempted to jump in my car and see if I could locate debris but knew it was probably much farther away than it appeared. On a map, I would have expected to find debris in the intersection of Azalea Garden Road and Sewell's Point Road in Norfolk, VA if that is of any help. Of course, relative to my location. |
