When I arrived at work and asked if anyone else had just seen the thing in the sky. Two people said yes. One of them had been traveling about a mile behind me and the other had been traveling in a more west to east direction. They both described the same thing I had seen.

as the main fire ball traveled from left to right and descended, smaller fragments dropped at sharper angles. maybe two or three smaller fragments. It looked like footage I had seen as the Columbia Shuttle broke apart.
