Reports Report 2407k (Event 2407-2014)

Observer
Name Michael H
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks This object was no more than a few 100' above me. It traveled from the S/W to N/E slower than any meteor I have ever seen. I was able to see a shower of sparks shooting off of the back of this shining ball. It may have been debris burning up, but it was so close above me. I ran to follow it's direction of travel but lost visual contact after 1/2 a block. I believe whatever it was fell to the ground nearby. Direction of 7th street and between 51st street and 52nd street in La Grange Il.
