Remarks I do not feel this was a meteor. At first I did but quickly realized it was not fading or showering. I observed this almost from horizon to horizon. It maintained elevation. About ten o clock above horizon. Direction was from wow to ene. I was facing north when I first spotted it to my left .I live in a rural are and have a large view of sky. The orange flame appeared to me to be a thrust flame from a rocket. Very similar to news footage of rockets seen on television. I often observe military jets here on training missions. This object traveled at least twice as fast as any jet I ever saw. I set it to been 5 to 10 thousand feet up. There was a commercial airliner above it travel g south. I set the position of the airliner about over st. Louis at 30 to 35 thousand feet at approx. 21:10 hrs. I was on the phone with a person in farmington at the time. About 12 miles south of mme.he was outdoors too. I told him to look north. Him and another present there both seen this also. Both say it appeared to be a rocket. What did we see? Nothing in news. I know others had to see this object.
