| Remarks | In my 30 years of watching the skies for meteor showers and celestial events, the meteor I saw last night ranked right up there with the best. The conditions were clear so it was perfect viewing. The meteor itself was consistently bright orange, with a long orange tail that didnt fluctuate in brightness or size and it moved ever so slowly (for a meteor) across the sky. I watched it until it was no longer viewable, somewhere between 5 and 10 seconds. Simply spectacular! |
