Tail was really bright in shades of orangish yellow to yellow white. Lasted between 2 and 3 seconds and was gone. When I fist saw the fireball I was driving North on Hwy 101 outside Santa Rosa, CA. I saw it through the windshield of our Truck. It was amazing.

after the fireball appeared and (exploded?) it left a bright arcing tail lasting about 2 to 3 seconds.
