Remarks | What we assume was a meteor appeared to our left, ahead of us, as we were driving west on the north side of the I-285 loop around Atlanta. Thus, it appeared ahead and south west from us, in the direction of Atlanta or Vinings. It was moving very fast, and was very bright but the light suddenly extinguished well above the ground. It appeared to be moving north northwest at a shallow downward angle. Both my wife and I observed it from the front seat of the car. The latitude and longitude and time of the event provided are approximate but within a couple miles and +/-5 minutes. |
