Reports Report 2908ft (Event 2908-2014)

Observer

Remarks I was coming out of my front door from a dark room onto a dark porch and caught sight of the meteor through the tall pine tree in the left hand corner of our front yard. It emerged from behind the tree for a brief, clear glimpse of it. The time may not be exact as I didn't have my wristwatch on. At the time, I didn't remember that they could be reported. It was completely dark, but there was a good amount of moonlight to my right. It was a very bright meteor (I think quite a bit brighter than Venus, but that perception may have been due to its size as compared with Venus) which left a sparkly trail, one of the brightest I've seen in a while, although it's been cloudy here for the last couple of meteor showers. I watch for meteors during the well-known showers sometimes for hours at a time or as long as all night on occasion.
