The meteor was witnessed by several staff members at McDonald Observatory during our public star party. One observer was facing away from the meteor and saw the trees illuminated brighter than the moon illumination.

Remarks
As the white and green-white bolide terminated, the glowing train turned from white to a red ember streak then vanished without a smoke trail.

Remarks
The last 6 degrees or so was brighter than moonlight like an arc-lamp. No large fragments were obvious and the termination was abrupt. The bright nucleus transitioned into a bright linear streak of incandescent red.
