| Remarks | Fireball appeared to be three times brighter than Venus, or five times brighter than Jupiter. Appeared just degrees East of North, just over the tree-line and travelled down and away with a slight drift to the North for a little more than a second. It seemed to be in progress when I looked up at it. I could not see any fragmentation or a terminal flash at my distance, but the live trail had the appearance of flames at my angle. Fireball and tail were a consistent bright yellow white, and both seemed to extinguish simultaneously before being obscured by the trees. |
