Reports Report 3638aiw (Event 3638-2014)

Observer
Name Jamie V
Experience Level 1/5
Remarks We were driving north on the NJ turnpike. The location I reported may be a little off because we were moving. I remember seeing a sign for the Six Flags exit right after seeing the meteorite. It was very bright and very low. I have seen shooting stars before but they were always way up in the atmosphere.

Fragmentation
Observation Yes
Remarks Bright pieces were coming off and then it burned out. I should mention it was VERY close to the ground, like in the range where you'd expect to see planes taking off/landing. I wouldn't be surprised if part of it made it to the ground.
