| Remarks | We were traveling north on RT 684 how about 10-15 miles south of Brewster, NY. I wasn't 100% sure about the time but it was in the ballpark of 6:30 PM. The streak was low in the sky and and very bright. It was coming from right to left right across the highway ahead of us. It looked like something on fire breaking up with a bright tail and then went dark. Both my wife and I saw it and it was unlike anything either of us had seen before. |

| Remarks | It was breaking into pieces as it passed. All the pieces were moving across the sky together. It was very bright with a bright streak across the sky and the pieces breaking up were very clear. |
