I did not actually see the fire ball. My friend saw it as he was driving up. He came in the house to tell us about it and have us come out and see the vapor trail it left behind. It was very distinct. We determined that the trajectory was south to north as indicated by the fading of the vapor trail to the south and its being brighter and more clear at the northern end.
