Remarks It left a bright white tail behind it that slowly faded.

Remarks This is where the colors came in. It got much larger and broke apart. As it was breaking up, it turned bright colors from the red end of the spectrum.

Remarks In continuation of the description above, the fragments blasted out from the main body in the same direction the object was flying. Somewhat like a shotgun blast. The main object turned a bright orange/red while its fragments were bright white. At this point it's visible flight was pretty much over.
