with only the experience of seeing occasional shooting stars, this struck me as 1) being huge; 2) lasting a LONG time; 3) being green, not white. I have never seen anything like this. I am 51 years old.

got brighter and brighter as did the ball . This was not a "shooting star" like you see against a dark night with a field of stars, or like you are ever shown in a movie.
