I read in the news today that many of them in Cochin had seen this fireball around the same time. But what is fascinating to me is the light pattern I saw when the phenomenon occurred. Do fireballs or meteorites cast patterns on the ground when burning and falling? I wonder what it was.

Remarks
There was lightening like effect in the sky but no clouds. After that what I saw something like a glowing thing falling above a tree near my house. I believe it could have been a fragment of the fireball? I don't know. But I got distracted by something else. My mother was standing opposite to me at that time and I saw that a pattern had formed on her face and in the bushes nearby caused by the falling light I guess. The pattern looked something like neatly arranged circle lights in multiple rows. It lasted just 2 to 3 seconds.
