Remarks | It appeared to be a slow moving (as far as other meteors go) fireball. The look of its was rather fat and sparkly, not the high speed streaks usually seen. Color was white bluish, with a very low angle/arc. From my point of view, the flash ended somewhere between 22 Ave. and Kenosha Hospital, along 65th.St/ Hy50. My calculations could be off a bit as far as judging distance out over the city, this is not an easy thing to do. But it did seem to be a close happening event. I was in the house looking at it through a closed window on the second floor. If there was a sound associated with the flash, I could not hear it. I would guess, by the arc of travel ,it would have landed somewhere out in Lake Michigan, between 5 to 10 miles out. |
