| Remarks | It looked extremely close, like it was only a few hundred feet away. But I am familiar enough with such things to know that it's impossible to less from one vantage point and was surely much further, potentially many miles away. Had it been anywhere near as close as it appeared I can't imagine that I wouldn't have heard the boom so I assume it was at least a few miles away. But the width of the 'rectangle' of the explosion was nearly as wide as my hand at arm's length, and much brighter than the full moon, and it was quite close to the ground when it exploded. And there was a lot of rough detail in the streak before the explosion. So it had to be quite large if not quite close. I have to assume there were pieces that made it to the ground. The area is farm land with few people, |

| Remarks | It exploded, but the explosion was like a long rectangle, with the length (along the trajectory) maybe 4 to 5 times the width. The radio was on and I'm not sure of any sound. If it was too far to hear the boom it had to be quite large. |
