Remarks I was driving on MD 175 West (car pointing Northwest) when I caught this out of the corner of my eye to the right. Location may not be precise, but it is within 1000 ft to a mile from where I initially saw the object. It looked like a very large green flare dropped from the sky down to the tree line or else it disappeared there. Since I was driving I was unwilling to try to look for it further. The weather was very muggy, humid, and drizzling in some places. The object was probably very bright, but was shining through clouds and the general haziness. I only rated the brightness on what I saw though, not what it's potential could have been in clearer weather.
