Terminal flash
Observation Yes
Remarks It was so bright, bigger and brighter than Venus, and eventually it flashed brilliant yellow/white and appeared to explode. My wife and I both noticed a flash of red.
Fragmentation
Observation Yes
Remarks I believe so. Though brief, my wife and I both said it looking like it exploded and for an instant I am pretty sure I saw fragments. So did my wife.
