Reports Report 1916d (Event 1916-2015)

Observer
Name Craig C
Experience Level 2/5
Remarks It was my first ever fireball experience. About 5 minutes after this sighting, I witnessed what I believe, in contrast, to have been one of the Perseid Meteors. It was a very different report, since it lasted a very short time, was much higher in the sky than the reported fireball, and it faded in less than 2 seconds. It was great to have these contrasting experiences/perspectives on the same night and within minutes of one another. It gives me much greater confidence in my belief that the first one was a fireball. It actually occurred along the same trajectory path as a somewhat fainter "fireball" I witnessed the night before, on August 11th, around 9:30 pm EDT in the same front yard, from the same vantage and perspective. Thanks for the opportunity to share my experience.
