The streak was much wider (top to bottom) than any picture I've seen. It was very contained as though an artist with an invisible paintbrush began with a dot then progressively widened the streak as "she" moved the brush across the sky (right to left) and just as she created the round end of the streak it exploded and it all vanished. I say it was contained because I was sitting in my car waiting for a traffic light to change when it all appeared, then disappeared. I didn't have move my head either to the side or vertically to behold this awesome sight.
