Reports Report 3098ab (Event 3098-2015)

Observer
Name Daniel P
Experience Level 1/5
Remarks I think it was a large meteor caught fire when penetrating the atmosphere. Intense bright emerald green color might came from the properties of the meteor materials. It flew from east to west with slight angle going down while my car was heading south on 405. At least couple times faster than high speed jets, flew very smooth and straight and dimmed smoothly and fast into the dark. Duration about 1 second after I looked up and spotted it while driving. The leading point was intensely bright with a line of bright light behind. The leading edge is round with light following looks like the size of a thin pencil and 2-3 inches long if measured on the wind screen of my car.
