I don't think this was a fireball. It made a curving arc downward and blinked out. It never hit the horizon. I saw the entire arc looking out my front windshield and it was short in length. I actually thought it was a firefly at first but the time of the year and it's height do not make sense for that. It had rained all day but stopped many hours before. It was too dark to see if it was cloudy.
