Remarks | The meteor was orange/red with a long green tail. I thought it was an F-22 using after-burners, but it was moving faster than anything I have ever seen; and directly toward the surface. It was a bright red glowing object (rock) with a long green tail. I screamed at my girlfriend who had enough time to acknowledge my gasping, look to the sky, and witness the heavenly assault of Lake Louise. Its trajectory caught my eye because of the brightness. It vanished momentarily, to reappear slightly closer to the surface along its trajectory; this time with a shorter tail made of white light, then vanished again a few hundred feet from the ground. I thought it was the end of the world and nervously waited for a shockwave followed by death. That thing struck. |
