| Remarks | This fireball was HUGE. My wife and I both saw it. I have seen shooting stars before but this was much, much bigger and seemed very close. When I first saw it I wondered if it was a plane on fire or something, as we live not far from the Norfolk Airport, but as we watched we saw it fizzle out. I almost expected to hear an explosion seconds later as it made landfall because it seemed so close. Very cool to see. My wife posted the sighting on Facebook and by this morning several people reported seeing it and some people in northern Virginia even captured some video. |
