This bright green light at first sight appeared to be a shooting star to me. It was off in the distance past Mt. hood, toward Portland area. It was small from my view but seemed to fall in an arch and then disappeared behind the mountain. I later read in the Oregonian that several people reported sightings of the same object down the willamette valley and central Oregon areas.

Remarks
The train was contained mostly white sparkly looking objects with some other colors perhaps yellow and orange mixed in. This train was following a bright green light that appeared to fall in an arch. I thought it was a shooting star at first sight.
