Remarks | My observations of meteors during meteor showers don't come close to the brightness of this fireball, and the size of it appeared roughly about the width of my fingernail at arm's length. While I first spotted it at about 70 degrees and heading toward the horizon, it's quite possible it began before that, as I was in the front of a vehicle and began seeing it through the windshield as it came into view. Thus, I can't give a definitive confirmation of it's exact initial impact with the atmosphere, but I first saw it at roughly 70 degrees. |
