1. I was reading and suddenly saw this above my sight line out my window. I thought it may have been a plane on fire but having not heard about anything in the news, assumed that it had been a drone or toy on fire. We live near Caltech and I thought it possible that students had been conducting an experiment in the park situated directly South of us where I saw it.
2. The time is approximate: I was reading in bed and did not check the exact time. It was between 9:20 and 9:45 pm.
